    Retired Veterinarian
Dr. Romm retired at the end of August 2017, but she will forever remain at the heart of Blue Sky Animal Clinic.
After growing up in rural Utah, Dr. Romm completed a degree in biology at the University of Utah and a Master of Science degree in Reproductive Physiology at Utah State.  The research for this degree required working with large goat herds in the Central Valley of California.  She recorded the normal reproductive cycle in goats and investigated means to change the seasonal nature of this cycle.  After completing this work, she became a research associate and teaching assistant in the School of Veterinary Medicine at U.C. Davis.  She was accepted into the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.  After graduation in 1984, She moved to Loveland with her husband, Dr. Ray Whalen.   Over the past 30 years, She has enjoyed working with both large and small animals in this community.  She lives on the outskirts of Loveland with her husband and two cats.  She has two children, Devin and Briana, in college.   Her family has been an important part of the construction, maintenance, and ongoing work at Blue Sky Animal Clinic.

  • Dr. Tory Tanguay

Dr. Victoria (Tory) Tanguay has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. Born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, she received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Hood College in Frederick, MD. Her professional interests include sports medicine, rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. She is certified in veterinary medical acupuncture and plans on pursuing certification in canine rehabilitation therapy as well. She is excited to bring these skills to Blue Sky’s patients to help them live as full and pain-free lives as possible.

Dr. Tanguay currently lives in Johnstown with her fiancé, Trevor, their “tri-pawd” wonder-dog, Bandit, their diva of a cat, Fancy, and their newest addition, fearless kitten, Salem.
